Renton Fire Department – No one present to report.

Molasses Creek/Park Pipeline – Chris reported that he, Brandy and Ray met with King County representatives at the park to go over additional details regarding design and contract language.  At this time we are waiting to hear back on the revised language.  The hope is that permits are issued this year and once those are done schedule talk can begin.  Everything is also water-flow dependent.  Hopefully construction will begin in the summer of 2017.

There is a home in the neighborhood that has a storm water drainage problem.  This is a totally separate issue that King County is taking care of.  It has nothing to do with the sinkhole in the park.

Homeowner Appeals – One homeowner was present to discuss the progress on his front porch and noted that he will try to be done by the end of the weekend.   There was also discussion regarding the plan to pay off the amount owned on his account so that his lien can be released.

Community Events – Eileen reported on “Dumpster Days”.
She has reserved Lindbergh High School for May 21st from 9 am until 3 pm.

There was discussion regarding the number of dumpsters and the logistics of supervision.

Richard noted that the Scouts are secured to hand out flyers to all homeowners.

A motion was made, seconded and approved to allocate up to $50 for flyer creation.  This will come out of the “Community Events” budget line.

The annual garage sale is June 24th – 26th.

Pride In Ownership – Nothing new to report until May.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting – A motion was made seconded and approved to accept the March meeting minutes as presented.

Financial Report – The monthly financial report was accepted as presented.
Treasurer’s Report – Nothing new to present.

Architectural Control Report – Nothing new to present.

Common Properties Report – There was discussion regarding the trees in the park and the bids received.

A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the bid from Cloudy Sky excluding item #2 for a total of $2,195 + tax.  Brandy will contact them with the approval.

Covenant Enforcement – All homes in violation were reviewed.

Unfinished Business – See the outstanding action items below.

New Business

Eileen discussed the banners that the HOA owns.  One of the large banners was stolen.

The meeting adjourned at 9:00 pm.

The next two meetings of the Fairwood West Homeowners’ Association will be the held on Thursday May 12th and Thursday June 9th both at 7 pm.  These meetings are in the portable building at the Nativity Lutheran Church, 17707 140th SE.

All residents are welcome to attend.

Respectfully Submitted,
Barb Simeona
